Family Fun 5K . . . PLUS! |

“Planting Seeds for Fitness”
Why would you want to take part in the Family Fun 5K? Because it is going to be just that – a lot of HEALTHY FAMILY FUN! Whether you choose to run, walk or bike the 3.25 mile route it promises to be a fun way to spend your Saturday morning. It is going to be a FUN RUN/WALK, not a race.
In Mark 12:30 Jesus told us what the most important thing was: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” We all need to work on being fit in all four of these areas – heart, soul, mind and strength. The Family Fun 5K is going to address how we can love God with all our strength. Physical fitness is more than muscles. It is about developing and maintaining good health. Keeping physically fit helps us serve God better. The purpose of the Family Fun 5K is to plant seeds for that physical fitness. So grab your running, walking or biking shoes and come out for a fun, family-oriented event. We want everyone in our church family to be able to participate, so even if you are unable to run, walk or bike you are invited to join us for the pancake breakfast that follows. |
