Next Steps

New Guest Events
We're Glad You're Here
We have multiple events and opportunities to get to know GFMC.

Get Involved
Grow & Serve
Our ministries are designed to help you connect with others, grow deeper in your faith, and experience what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. There’s something for everyone here at Greenville Free Methodist Church. We encourage you to 1. Come every Sunday 2. Be part of a group and 3. Serve others

Baptism
An Outward Symbol of Inward Faith
Jesus himself was baptized and He commands us to baptize others . Baptism tells the world that we are truly His followers. The water symbolizes burial and coming up from the water symbolizes His resurrection. Therefore, in baptism we identify with Christ's death , burial, and resurrection. Contact Pastor Steve for more information, or if you would like to be baptized.

Membership
A Covenant Relationship
At Greenville Free Methodist Church, being part of our congregation goes beyond attending. It is about entering into a covenant relationship with God and with one another. Covenant membership is an active partnership. You commit to participate in the mission of the church, offering your time and talents to help build up the body of Christ. In return, the church commits to support your spiritual growth and walk alongside you as you follow Jesus.
Joining our church family is a four-step process:
- Belong Class – Belong invites you to explore the history of the wider Church, the Free Methodist movement, and what it means to be part of the GFMC community.
- Application – A simple way to formally express your desire become a member
- Informal Interview – A time to share your story, ask questions.
4. Welcome During Worship – Be publicly welcomed by the congregation during a Sunday morning worship service, affirming your commitment to the church.
While membership is not required to attend or be involved at GFMC, it is a meaningful way to deepen your connection with God and others.
Belong classes are offered several times a year. For more information, contact lRachel.
The next 4 week Belong class beings November 2 at 9:45am Register here.

Communion
First Sunday of the Month
Jesus asked His disciples to remember His death and resurrection. Communion is a simple but profound act of obedience that reminds us of the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf. At GFMC, we practice Open Communion. You do not have to be a member of the Church or Free Methodist to participate. On the first Sunday of each month, we offer the sacrament of communion to all those whose hearts are desiring to know God more fully.
